Join us for a virtual open house on the future Capstan Station, Nov. 16–23
We want to share the latest news about the new Capstan Station coming to Canada Line!
TransLink’s hosting a virtual open house that you can access online between Nov. 16 and 23, 2020.
We will share how the development of the new Capstan Station (near the corner of No. 3 Road and Capstan Way) is progressing.
As Richmond continues to welcome more residents, this exciting project will provide a safe and efficient transportation option for people in the Capstan Village area.
Please visit translink.ca/capstan to learn about the project and check out the station design from the comfort of your home. Contact us at capstan@translink.ca with any questions.
My main concern is where the bike path is and where bus riders queue up for approaching buses. Looking at the diagram, the bike path cuts right through the queue area!
I’ve been hit by speeding cyclists when waiting at Brighouse station on No 3 rd bus stops. Cyclists don’t care about bus riders, especially when you put the bike path right where riders are waiting to board a bus.
Guard rails need to be put on the sidewalk to provide a safety barrier to speeding cyclists.
Dispose of the pedestrian crosswalk, just have people cross at capstan way, adding more lights on an already busy road isn’t smart, plus you have a bus stop right there as well? Put an elevated walkway across 3 road, just like they should have done at Richmond centre.
