Catherine McKenna, Canada’s Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; Rob Fleming, BC’s Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure; Kennedy Stewart, Mayor of Vancouver; and Gigi Chen-Kuo, TransLink’s interim CEO participated in virtual celebration marking the beginning of major construction for the Broadway Subway Project.

The Broadway Subway Project is a 5.7-kilometre extension of the SkyTrain’s Millennium Line. Continuing from VCC–Clark Station on an elevated guideway for 700 metres, the extension will then travel underground along Broadway for 5 kilometres. The project includes 6 new underground stations.
