Poll: How do you spend your time on transit?

Poll: How do you spend your time on transit?

We all have our favourite pastimes. Whether you’re an avid bookworm, a movie lover, or a musician, we manage to find ways to entertain ourselves during our commutes. What do you do to pass the time on transit? If we left out your favourite way to relax during your commute, let us know below!

Reading

Transit is the perfect place to catch up on some reading. Whether that’s digging into the latest mystery series for the first time or catching up on school. If you’re looking for a new book,  check out some of the best transit-friendly bookstores.

Sleeping

No judgement here — sometimes you need a few extra zzz’s wherever you can get them. We have practices in place to make the SkyTrain as quiet as possible and have gone the extra mile to add more cushioning to RapidBus seats.

Listening to music

If you’re looking for something to listen to, check out our I Love Transit playlist. All the music within is transit inspired, talk about immersing yourself in your journey.

Zoning out

Have you ever stared straight ahead for an entire SkyTrain journey? Suddenly you come to and you’re at your destination, but seemingly no time has passed? You may have been meditating.

Phone games or browsing social media

Pretty much everyone has a super computer in their pocket these days. We’ve begun rolling out at Wi-Fi onboard our transit vehicles to help you stay connected wherever you go.

Crosswords, sudoku and more!

Good old-fashioned puzzles will never go out of style. What newspaper in Metro Vancouver has your favourite puzzles?

Playing a portable video game system

Mobile gaming has entered a renaissance. With portable systems now powerful enough to run home console games, you can truly take your gaming on the go. What’s your mobile console of choice?

Enjoying the view

Most of the SkyTrain is elevated, so there’s a lot to see in while riding the lines in Metro Vancouver. If you’re fortunate enough to find yourself on the top deck of one of our double-decker buses, you’ll be in for a treat with less conventional views of the area.
