Changes to Canada Line service in Richmond, Oct. 11 to Nov. 3, Monday to Thursday after 9:30 p.m.

The SkyTrain passes by the under construction Capstan Station

Do you ride the Canada Line to, from, or between Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond–Brighouse stations after 9:30 p.m.? If so, read on!

Between Oct. 11 to Nov. 3, Monday through Thursday, SkyTrain service at these stations end at 9:30 p.m. and a bus bridge (i.e. extra buses) will operate in its place until the end of service at 1:35 a.m.  Here’s what you need to know:

  • The affected dates are Oct. 11-13, 17-20, 24-27, and 31 to Nov. 3.
  • Canada Line customers will change to a bus after 9:30 p.m. The buses will operate up to every 10 minutes.
  • The extra buses will stop at each Canada Line station (i.e., Lansdowne, Aberdeen and Richmond–Brighouse).
  • The extra buses will depart from Bay 10 at Bridgeport Station and Bay 1 at Richmond–Brighouse Station. Signage will be on site to assist customers.
  • Regular service will resume each morning.

As well, starting on Oct. 16 and after 11 p.m., train frequency from Waterfront to Bridgeport Station will be reduced to every 20 minutes.

This temporary change is so we can continue installing the steel structure for Capstan Station, which takes place extremely close to the guideway. Since the work is precise, it requires a longer window of time than our regular non-revenue hours allow.

We anticipate similar service impacts to continue throughout the remainder of the year and will share those details once they are finalized.
