Ride and Shine is back for its second year, challenging you to go car free this summer! By biking, walking, riding, and rolling, you reduce your carbon footprint and unlock special offers with your Compass Card.

We’ve partnered with local businesses, restaurants, museums, and other regional spots so you can save by just showing your Compass Card. From a stroll inside the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Classical Garden (with a 2-for-1 deal), to a break from the heat at Science World (with a 20 per cent discount), there’s so much to see and experience!

Attend Car-Free Days, festivals and events

We’re sponsoring six Car Free Day festivals across Metro Vancouver. Join us for vibrant street festivals filled with music, entertainment, food, and more. Experience everything a Car-Free Day has to offer on these dates:

• Surrey (by Newton Exchange) – June 10
• New Westminster – July 29
• Vancouver (Commercial Drive) – September 9
• Vancouver (Main Street) – September 16
• Vancouver (West End) – September 23
• North Vancouver – September 24

We’re also participating in many summer events this year, including the PNE Fair (Vancouver), Pride Festival (Vancouver), Celebration of Light (Vancouver), Surrey Fusion Festival (Surrey), and Shipyards Festival (North Vancouver). Be sure to stop by and say hi!

Park your bike with us

We have an extensive network of bike parkades and lockers across transit. This summer, we’ve partnered with Cadillac Fairview, the City of Vancouver, the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, and BEST (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation) to bring bike parking to Vancouver City Centre Station.

The Vancouver City Centre Bike Valet is a place for you to store your bike while you enjoy events, shop at local businesses, or explore the city! It’s open June 19 – September 1, between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. For details, please visit translink.ca/bikeparking.
