Summer break calls for summer traditions like going to outdoor movie nights! Round up your friends and head to transit-friendly shows in North Vancouver, Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, and Burnaby this July and August. Make sure to arrive early and bring a foldable chair and blanket so you can watch comfortably.

These outdoor movie nights typically start at dusk and end late at night so plan your trip ahead using our Trip Planner and sign up for Transit Alerts. Evo Summer Cinema at Stanley Park

Known as the largest outdoor movie series in Canada, Evo Summer Cinema takes place inside Stanley Park, near Second Beach, where you can also watch the sunset while you wait for the movie to play. They screen movies on Tuesday evenings until August. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis so arrive early to save your ideal spot. You can also reserve VIP zone seats for $20 per seat, which lets you sit on cottage-style chairs in the front row. There are only 200 seats available so reserve early!

Summer Movie Nights screen movies on Thursday evenings at sundown. Before the film, you can enjoy face painting, drag performances, mini-golf, live music, and more. No snacks? No problem. In addition to the many restaurants and shops near the plaza, there are also food trucks on-site.

The Bike Valet team is also on-site for your bike parking needs in downtown Vancouver.

Deckchair Cinema at Lonsdale Quay

Watch classic films by the waterfront at Deckchair Cinema, located outside Polygon Gallery at Lonsdale Quay. They screen movies on Thursdays at sunset and feature music and entertainment leading up to curtain time. Admission is by donation and it also includes access to the Polygon Gallery.
