I Love Transit Week returns Feb. 12–16

I Love Transit

This year, Valentine’s Day falls right in the middle of the 15th annual I Love Transit Week. And this is no coincidence. From Feb. 12 to 16, we’ll spend an entire week gushing about all the things we love and appreciate about our transit system.

Whether you are a long-time transit user or a newcomer still amazed by our driverless trains, there’s something for everyone during this special week.

In case you didn’t know, I Love Transit Week celebrates the many ways public transportation enriches our communities and helps shape our region. From reducing traffic congestion to connecting people with their communities and places that matter the most, transit plays a vital role in everyone’s lives.

During I Love Transit Week, you’ll find stories across all of our social media platforms from members of the community who have a unique connection with transit — like the story of a LEGO enthusiast who builds replicas of TransLink buses or the story of how two Scouts designed TransLink’s first-ever Scout badge.

Don’t forget to download one, or a bunch, of these transit themed Valentine’s Day cards to give to your Valentine!

Tell us why you love transit

Do your best TikTok dance to the sounds of transit, or captivate us with your favourite transit-friendly adventure destinations via an Instagram Reel! (Don’t forget to tag @TransLink!)

You can also snap a photo, shoot a video, write a poem, draw a picture, perform a song, write an essay, or however you want to show transit some love. Then, share it on social media with our hashtag #ILoveTransit.

You can also email your anecdotes to thebuzzer@translink.ca, and you might just see them featured on The Buzzer later this week! 😉
