I Love Transit Week Returns Feb. 10–14

I Love Transit Week is back from Feb. 10–14, 2025, and we’re inviting you to celebrate the many ways transit connects our communities! Whether you rely on it for your daily commute, weekend adventures, or spontaneous trips, now’s the time to show your love for transit.

Why we love transit

Transit is more than just a way to get from point a to point b — it’s where friendships form, memories are made, and cities come to life. Every bus, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express trip helps reduce traffic congestion, lower carbon emissions, and build a more sustainable future for Metro Vancouver.

Think about the moments that make transit special — the bus driver who greeted you with a smile on a tough morning, the chance encounter that turned into a lifelong friendship, or the cozy rides home where you lost yourself in a good book. Some have met their partners on transit, struck up career-changing conversations, or simply enjoying the magic that can be found on a SeaBus ride. These little moments create the fabric of our daily lives, making transit not just a service, but a space for connection and shared experiences.

Throughout the week, we’ll share inspiring stories from transit riders who have a unique connection to the system. Like this rider who channeled his passion for electronics to create an LED SkyTrain tracker or the story of one LEGO enthusiast who builds replicas of TransLink buses.
