How to take transit to concert venues in Metro Vancouver
Many people coming to concerts can mean full parking lots. Taking transit can help alleviate the hassle of finding parking. You can take transit to these concert venues in Metro Vancouver the full way, or drive to a Park and Ride lot located near transit hubs and then ride transit. Daily rate at Park and Ride lots cost as low as $2 to $4 per day.

BC Place and Rogers Arena are the most common concert venues in Metro Vancouver, but they’re not the only ones. If you’re heading there, here’s how. Small to medium-scale concerts happen all around the region, and here’s how to get there by transit.
Concert venues in Vancouver
Malkin Bowl

📍 Address: 610 Pipeline Rd, Vancouver
With Malkin Bowl located in Stanley Park, ride the 19 Stanley Park bus. It’s the only bus that goes inside the park. Malkin Bowl is about a five-minute walk from the Stanley Park loop where the terminus bus stop is.
Depending on where you’re coming from, you can catch the 19 bus in downtown Vancouver along Georgia Street, or from Burrard Station. You can also ride it from Metrotown Station which is the other end of the route.
Thunderbird Arena

📍 Address: 2555 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver
Thunderbird Arena, also known as the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, is located in the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus. You can take these routes to UBC: the R4 41st Avenue RapidBus which runs from Joyce–Collingwood Station, the 25 which runs from King Edward Station, and the 49 which runs from Metrotown Station.
The Thunderbird Arena is about a five-minute walk from the bus stops of these routes.
Commodore Ballroom and The Pearl

📍 Commodore Ballroom address: 868 Granville Street, Vancouver
📍 The Pearl address: 881 Granville Street, Vancouver
Commodore Ballroom and The Pearl are at the heart of downtown Vancouver so there are many ways to get there. These two venues are directly across each other so the commute is similar.
By train: You can take the Canada Line to Vancouver City Centre and walk for about five minutes from the station or take the Expo Line train from Granville Station and walk for about seven minutes.
By bus: Hop on the 50 bus which goes between Waterfront Station and False Creek South via Granville Island, then get off at the Granville St, Robson St bus stop. Commodore Ballroom is about a two-minute walk from there.
Orpheum Theatre and Vogue Theatre

📍 Orpheum Theatre address: 601 Smithe St, Vancouver
📍 Vogue Theatre address: 918 Granville St, Vancouver
Orpheum Theatre and Vogue Theatre are also at the heart of downtown Vancouver with many transit options nearby. These two theatres are just a three-minute walk from each other, so you’d be taking the same route to get to one or the other.
By train: Take the Canada Line to Vancouver City Centre and walk for about five minutes from the station to the theatre. Or take the Expo Line to Granville Station and walk for about seven minutes from the station to the theatre.
By bus: Several downtown bus routes can take you near the Orpheum Theatre. This includes:
- 50 Waterfront Station / False Creek South via Granville Island
- 16 29th Ave Station / Arbutus
- 14 Downtown/ Hastings | UBC
- 7 Dunbar / Nanaimo Station
- 10 Waterfront Station / Granville
- 6 Downtown / Davie
- 5 Downtown / Robson
Hollywood Theatre
📍 Address: 3123 West Broadway, Vancouver
Hollywood Theatre is located in Kitsilano and served by several bus routes. You have a number of options to catch buses that take you to Hollywood Theatre coming from the SkyTrain or SeaBus.
From Waterfront Station, catch any of these routes and get off at the Balaclava Street stop.
From Burrard Station, catch the 2 Macdonald bus and get off at the Macdonald Street and West Broadway stop.
From Commercial–Broadway Station, catch the 9 Alma bus and get off at the Balaclava Street and West Broadway stop.
Queen Elizabeth Theatre and The Centre Vancouver

📍 Queen Elizabeth Theatre address: 630 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
📍 The Centre address: 777 Homer Street, Vancouver
Queen Elizabeth Theatre and The Centre Vancouver are both opposite sides of the Vancouver Public Library central branch in downtown Vancouver. They’re closest to Canada Line’s Vancouver City Centre Station and Expo Line’s Granville Station. Several bus routes also serve the area so there are lots of transit options!
By train: Take the Canada Line to Vancouver City Centre and walk for about five minutes from the station to the venues. Or take the Expo Line to Granville Station and walk for about six minutes to the venue.
By bus: From Waterfront Station, catch the 50 False Creek South via Granville Island bus from Waterfront Station and get off at the Granville Street and Robson Street stop. The venues are both about a five-minute walk from the stop.
From North Vancouver, you can take the 240 Downtown or 246 Downtown buses and get off at the Homer Street bus stop. From West Vancouver or Horseshoe Bay, you can take the 250 Vancouver bus and get off at the Homer Street bus stop or the 257 Vancouver bus and get off at the Dunsmuir and Cambie Street stop.
PNE Agrodome

📍 Address: 2901 East Hastings Street Vancouver
The PNE Agrodome is located at Hastings Street in Vancouver. You can either ride the R5 Hastings St RapidBus, the 14 UBC / Downtown | Hastings Street bus, the 16 Arbutus / 29th Avenue, or the 4 Downtown / Powell. If coming from SkyTrain, you can take the R5 Hastings St to SFU from Burrard Station or the 16 Arbutus bus from Renfrew Station. From the SeaBus, you can take the 4 Powell bus from Waterfront Station.
If taking the R5, 14, or 16 bus, get off at the Hastings Street and Renfrew Street bus stop. The PNE has several entrances, including Gate 1, located across the street from the bus stop. The PNE Agrodome is about an 11-minute walk from the Renfrew Street entrance.
If riding the 4 bus, get off at the Eton Street and Renfrew stop and walk to the nearest open entrance, which may be at Gate 4 near Dundas Street. The Agrodome is about a minute walk from the Gate 4 entrance.
Rickshaw Theatre
📍 Address: 254 East Hastings Street, Vancouver
You can ride the R5 Hastings Street RapidBus to Rickshaw Theatre. You can catch the R5 RapidBus near Burrard Station.
Once on the R5, get off at the Hastings Street and Main Street bus stop. Rickshaw Theatre is in front of the bus stop.
Concert venues in Burnaby
Deer Lake Park

📍 Address: 5435 Sperling Ave, Burnaby
These three bus routes scan take you near Deer Lake Park — the 144 which goes between SFU and Metrotown Station, 133 that goes between Edmonds Station and Holdom Station, or the 123 bus that goes between New Westminster Station and Brentwood Station.
The 144 will take you closest to the park, with a nine-minute walk from the Canada Way and Sperling Avenue bus stop. You can take the 144 bus from Expo Line’s Metrotown Station or Millennium Line’s Sperling–Burnaby Lake Station.
You can also take the 133 bus from Millennium Line’s Sperling–Burnaby Lake Station and Holdom Station. Deer Lake Park is about a 15-minute walk from the Burris St and Leibly Ave bus stop.
Or you can take the 123 bus either from Expo Line’s New Westminster Station or Millennium Line’s Brentwood Station, then get off at the Canada Way and Sperling Avenue bus stop. The venue is about a 10-minute walk from there.
Concert venues in Coquitlam
Great Canadian Casino
📍 Address: 2080 United Boulevard, Coquitlam
Great Canadian Casino is served by routes 159 Braid Station / Coquitlam Central Station and 791 Braid Station / Haney Place.
If coming from outside Coquitlam, you can catch these routes by taking the Millennium Line to Braid Station.
You can also drive and then take transit. We have a Park and Ride lot at Coquitlam Central Station, which costs as low as $3 per day. You can catch the 159 bus from the station.
Both the 159 and 791 stop at the United Boulevard and Schooner Street bus stop. The casino is about a two-minute walk from there.
Late-night transit service
Worried about transit after the concert? Here’s what you need to know:
- NightBus is our late-night bus service, which departs from downtown Vancouver starting at 1:30 a.m. every day. It has services to North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, and Surrey.
- Last SeaBus sailing from Monday to Saturday leaves Waterfront Station at 1:22 a.m., and 11:16 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
- Last Expo Line train service leaves Waterfront Station at 1:16 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, and 12:16 a.m. on Sundays and holidays.
- Last Millennium Line train leaves VCC–Clark Station at 1:29 a.m. from Monday to Friday and 12:29 a.m. on Sundays and holidays, terminating at Lougheed Town Centre Station. On Saturdays, the last train departs VCC–Clark Station at 1:22 a.m. and terminates at Lafarge Lake–Douglas Station.
- If coming from concerts at Deer Lake Park and the Great Canadian Casino, the last Millennium Line train from Lafarge Lake–Douglas Station to downtown leaves at 1 a.m. from Monday to Friday, 12:58 a.m. on Saturday, and 11:58 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
- Last Canada Line train heading to YVR–Airport departs Waterfront Station at 1:08 a.m., while the last train to Richmond–Brighouse Station departs Waterfront Station at 1:15 a.m.
