53 bus routes are getting more service this fall. Is yours on the list?
Every season, we implement bus service changes to provide service where it’s needed based on ridership patterns.
Starting Sept. 1 as part of Fall Service Changes, you’ll see more frequent service on 53 bus routes across Metro Vancouver. That means shorter wait times, more room onboard buses, and more transit options.
We’re also bringing back more service on routes 44 UBC, 143 SFU, 145 SFU, and 245 Capilano University, and service on route 9 to UBC on weekdays.
These service increases improve access to and from post-secondary schools, industrial areas, and some of the busiest and most overcrowded corridors in Metro Vancouver — including Vancouver, UBC, Surrey, Langley, Burnaby, and New Westminster.
This boost in service is made possible by the 2025 Investment Plan, which is delivering the largest increase in bus service since 2018.

Check out the list of bus routes below. See a route you take? Visit translink.ca/servicechanges for more specifics on the service update.

With fewer people visiting popular outdoor destinations this fall, we’re rolling back seasonal service on 17 routes until next year. Summer-only routes like the 42 Spanish Banks, 150 White Pine Beach, and 179 Buntzen Lake end on Sept. 1, and the 900 Bike Bus ends on Sept. 2. Until next summer!
While happy with any improvements, I am very disappointed that that 191 is not getting service expansion in the evening as well. Only running every 40 minutes when people are commuting home for work is tough, especially since it lines up very poorly with the west coast schedule, making to transfer almost impossible.
It would be nice to see the #2 back to its old schedule.
Couldn’t agree more. Needs at least 2 extra buses to fill in those gaps!
The 562 needs more service, as well as real time information. Please.
Hope there is a bus from the river district going up to the Killarney area where all the schools are
Why does the 22 bus always get left out of the need for extra buses ..especially during rush hour morning and afternoon ..leaving customers waiting for multiple of buses due to how much time between each scheduled time ..you should be running every 5 minutes…not 15
id like to apply as bus driver, i can help will in the team,
