Apply to join TransLink’s Access Transit and HandyDART users’ advisory committees

Are you passionate about making transit more accessible for everyone? We’re currently accepting applications for the Access Transit Users’ Advisory Committee and the HandyDART Users’ Advisory Committee .

These committees provide important advice to TransLink on how to make our system easier to use for customers with disabilities, seniors, and others who face barriers to public transit.

Access Transit Users’ Advisory Committee (ATUAC)

The ATUAC advises TransLink on accessibility improvements across the entire transit system. Members provide input on programs, plans, and initiatives, helping to ensure we continue to meet the needs of customers with diverse abilities.

The UAC meets approximately six times per year, and members are appointed for a three-year term, with the option to reapply for a second consecutive three-year term if they wish.

HandyDART Users’ Advisory Committee (HDUAC)

The HDUAC focuses on matters specific to HandyDART service. The committee is made up of customers and stakeholders who share their lived experience and perspectives to help TransLink improve HandyDART for everyone who relies on it.

The HDUAC meets approximately four times per year. Members are appointed for a three-year term with the option to reapply for a second consecutive three-year term if they wish.
