TransLink’s PrideBus returns in playful 16-bit style
Our iconic PrideBus will be featured in the 47th annual Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday, August 3. We’ll also be marching alongside the PrideBus to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Following the parade, the PrideBus will hit the streets to serve customers until the end of summer.
“Participating in the Pride Parade is a meaningful tradition for TransLink, and we’re proud to show our support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities once again,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “I encourage our customers to take transit as the safe, efficient, and reliable way to get to and from the Pride Festival.”

The PrideBus is a vibrant celebration of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Metro Vancouver. This year’s PrideBus was developed in-house and is wrapped in a joyful, retro-inspired design featuring vibrant 16-bit unicorns, a playful nod to self-expression, nostalgia, and the magic of being boldly yourself.
The PrideBus artwork also pays homage to late local artist and 2SLGBTQIA+ community advocate Joe Average, with the inclusion of bees. The bees are a reference to Joe Average’s iconic Bee Line artwork, which TransLink proudly featured on the PrideBus in 2023 through a collaborative partnership.

Take transit to the Vancouver Pride Parade
TransLink will increase Expo and Millennium Line service between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the Pride Parade on Sunday, August 3. Downtown bus service will be rerouted for the parade due to street closures. As a result, customers should plan for extra travel time as needed.

- 2 MacDonald/Burrard (11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
- 5 Robson/Downtown (6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
- 6 Davie/Downtown (6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

Customers are encouraged to consult TransLink’s Trip Planner and sign up for Transit Alerts, for the latest information on their bus route.

Intead of wasting money on this garbage, instead put the money to more useful use like adding more service to reduce overcrowding & late night bus, seabus & Skytrain services!
Yes, because all mentioned services will undoubtedly be magically optimised by the cost of the wrap on this bus. Kinda like the fact you’d easily have the down payment for a condo if you stopped going to Starbucks.
The in-house design team did a great job with this year’s design! So fun & retro and the bee homage is really touching. Thank you Translink for continuing to stand with the Queer community, both customers and your own employees, even in difficult times like these. <3
Where can I find the next trading cards please?
