Sleigh your commute with Winter Service Changes

609 Tsawwassen First Nations Community Shuttle

This winter, more frequent and reliable transit is coming to Metro Vancouver, with more bus service on 37 routes (!) across the region.

Our Winter Service Changes take effect Monday, January 5, 2026, helping to reduce overcrowding, improve convenience, and extend service hours. Read on to learn how we’ve improved service for the winter season.

What’s new?

  • #609 South Delta Exchange/Ladner Exchange now has all-day, 30-minute service, seven days a week.
    • This is the largest increase to any route this winter, improving convenience for customers travelling to and from Tsawwassen First Nation
      .
  • #80 River District/Marine Drive Station, previously a peak-only weekday route, will now have 30-minute frequency mid-day from Monday to Friday, improving connections between the fast-growing River District and the Canada Line.

Adjusted SeaBus service on Sundays and holidays to improve reliability.

    • last trip now leaves Lonsdale Quay at 11 p.m. (from 11:02)
    • last trip now leaves Waterfront Station at 11:22 p.m. (from 11:16)

Frequency is also being increased on four of the top 30 most overcrowded routes: #335, #49, #312, and #16.

With the 2025 Investment Plan, we’re delivering the largest bus service expansion since 2018

Thanks to TransLink’s 2025 Investment Plan, we’ve been able to deliver significant service improvements. This includes upgrades to 53 routes introduced this past fall.

Including the changes coming in January, we will have implemented about one-third of the bus service expansion funded through the plan, and there’s more to come! Watch for additional improvements arriving in April 2026 as we roll out our Spring Service Changes.

We’ll continue to monitor ridership across the region to make sure service is available where it’s needed most as more people choose transit.
