Bruno Mars becomes latest celebrity guest voice on SkyTrain

Global superstar Bruno Mars is the latest celebrity to lend his voice to SkyTrain, with special announcements playing this week ahead of his five Vancouver concerts.

Don’t believe us? Just watch (or listen) — as part of a new collaboration with TransLink and Warner Music Canada, Mars’ voice messages will play periodically at Stadium–Chinatown Station on concert days from October 14 to 21.

This collaboration is part of TransLink’s broad efforts to generate revenue beyond fares and taxes to help fund Metro Vancouver’s transit system, while adding a little 24K magic for customers taking transit to the concerts.

SkyTrain’s star-studded guest voices

Bruno Mars is the first musical artist to become a celebrity guest voice on SkyTrain, but he is one of several famous voices heard on SkyTrain in recent years. In 2018, actor Seth Rogen lent his voice to share transit etiquette tips on the system, and Canadian soccer legend Christine Sinclair’s voice welcomed visitors to the system during FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver.

One city, five nights

Bruno Mars will perform at BC Place on October 14, 16, 17, 20 and 21 as part of his worldwide tour supporting his latest album, The Romantic.

Originally announced as a single Vancouver show, extraordinary ticket demand left many fans locked out; but the door wasn’t closed for long. The tour expanded to five dates at BC Place, breaking Mars’ own record for most shows performed at a single venue and making it one of the biggest concert runs in Canadian history.

Getting to the show
