Modified Millennium Line service the next three weekends
Modified Millennium Line service the next three weekends
Over the next three weekends, Millennium Line customers travelling beyond Burquitlam Station will see modified service while we install wireless infrastructure in the Burquitlam Tunnel, between Burquitlam and Moody Centre stations.
Work will happen on October 7, 8 and 9; October 14 and 15; and October 21 and 22 from the start of service and until the end of service. On these days, the Millennium Line will travel between VCC–Clark and Burquitlam stations only. Shuttle trains will operate between Burquitlam to Lafarge Lake–Douglas stations every eight minutes.
Customers travelling eastbound beyond Burquitlam Station towards Lafarge Lake–Douglas Station will have to transfer to the shuttle by going down to the concourse level to cross over to the opposite platform. Similarly, westbound customers connecting at Burquitlam station towards VCC-Clark Station will have to transfer to a different train by crossing over to the opposite platform.
Those who are connecting at Burquitlam Station, please allow at least 5-10 minutes extra travel time. Service for the Expo Line, Canada Line and Millennium Line from VCC-Clark to Burquitlam station will be unaffected.
Due to the complicated nature of the work, it must take place over an extended period of time, which is why service will be affected over three consecutive weekends. We thank customers for their patience while we complete this work.

Just curious, will they be using longer trains (Mark I, Mark II, Mark III) for the shuttle trains or the shorter trains (2-car Mark II)?
Hi Elfren, they will be operating two-car Mark IIs.
Can you access the special shuttle from all stations on the affected route? e.g. Can I board at Coquitlam central?
Hi Jodi, yes, you are able the Special SkyTrain Service at Coquitlam Central Station.
