Since 2005, Blanket BC‘s “Drive on the Line” campaign has collected close to 300,000 blankets for those in need at select Canada Line stations throughout the system.

The drive is back for its ninth year this Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25, and are looking to you to help them #SpreadTheWarmth! Volunteers—or “blanketeers”—will be collecting donations between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the following Canada Line stations:

  • Waterfront (Canada Line entrance on Cordova Street)
  • Vancouver City Centre
  • Yaletown–Roundhouse
  • Broadway–City Hall
  • Oakridge–41st
  • Marine Drive
  • Bridgeport
  • Lansdowne

Their goal this year is to collect 10,000 blankets and $10,000 cash donations. Aside from blankets, volunteers will also accept other warm articles of clothing such as socks, scarves, toques, mitts, gloves and even pillow cases! They ask all items to be clean.

All donations are sorted, divided and delivered by volunteers to shelter programs as well as families and individuals in need throughout Metro Vancouver.
