Step up and bike to work, school and everywhere in between during HUB Cycling’s Bike to Work Week, May 27 to June 2!
Sponsored by TransLink and other partners, Bike to Work Week challenges commuters to incorporate cycling into their day-to-day. Register and log your trips throughout the week, and you’ll be entered into daily prize draws and the grand prize of an adventure for two to Italy.
Celebration stations will be set up along bike routes around the region with free drinks, snacks, bike maintenance and more! TransLink’s TravelSmart team will be at Metrotown Station on Monday, May 27, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at Creekside Park on Friday, May 31, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
As Metro Vancouver’s transportation authority, we work to make multimodal transport easy! We look after the BC Parkway and Central Valley Greenway multi-use paths, and the Canada Line Pedestrian-Bicycling Bridge. We have Bike Parkades throughout the SkyTrain network that allow you to cycle partway and transit the rest of the way.
We also cost share with municipalities for road, cycling and pedestrian improvement to create better connections as well as improve safety and comfort for cyclists of all ages and abilities.
Our entire fleet is bike accessible with racks onboard all our buses. Watch the video below on how to take your bike on the bus on your next trip! Not quite ready for primetime? You can try our demo rack at North Vancouver City Hall or Main Street–Science World Station.
Be part of the change and help make Metro Vancouver a happier, healthier place to live, work and play!
