This is how the mobile vaccine bus works

We’ve partnered with Fraser Health to roll out the Mobile Vaccine Bus to make it as easy as possible for people to get their COVID-19 vaccine. The Mobile Vaccine Bus provides same-day COVID-19 immunizations to eligible individuals ages 12 and up, living in the Fraser Health area, including those without a personal health number and/or people who are not residents of B.C.

Here’s how it works:

1. The mobile vaccine bus visits your community

The Mobile Vaccine Bus has already made stops in White Rock, Aldergrove, Fort Langley, the BC Ferries terminal in Tsawwassen, and Pitt Meadows. It could be coming to a community near you!

Stay tuned to Fraser Health’s social media channels, including Twitter and Facebook, to find out where the Mobile Vaccine Bus will be next.

2. Register for your vaccine

Start at the registration tent that’s located outside the bus and provide your information. Next, board the air-conditioned bus to get your vaccine in a cool and comfortable location.

3. Receive your COVID-19 vaccine

While you hang out on our brightly coloured, air-conditioned bus, a Fraser Health nurse administers your vaccine.

4. Wait 15 minutes in the observation area

After receiving your shot, take a few steps over where you will sit down at one of the assigned seat numbers in the observation area. This is to make sure you experience no side effects to the vaccine.

5. That’s it!

You’re done! Hop off the bus and continue with your journey. It’s that easy.

Aside from the mobile vaccine bus, there are many other ways to get your COVID-19 vaccine. Find your nearest clinic on the Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health websites.

We’ve also partnered with Fraser Health on the Group Vaccine Shuttle Program to help people facing transportation challenges access their COVID-19 immunization. To find out more, please visit fraserhealth.ca/bookaride.
