Compass Mini-Train – Where will it take you?

Compass Mini-Train – Where will it take you?

Both adult and concession Compass Mini-Trains will go on sale December 14 at the Customer Service Centre inside Waterfront Station

UPDATE: The Compass Mini-Trains have proven to be a hot Christmas commodity! Due to overwhelming customer demand, we’re now sold out.

Tapping into transit just got more interesting as the Compass Mini-Train joins the fleet of Compass Cards and products for Metro Vancouver transit.

The Compass Mini-Train attaches to a keyring and works like the Compass Card. But it’s unique in that it resembles a small, model SkyTrain car with headlights that light up when tapped.

This is the perfect holiday stocking stuffer for transit enthusiasts. Visit the TransLink Customer Service Centre inside Waterfront Station (Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to pick up a Compass Mini-Train while supplies last.

During its initial release, 3,000 adult (blue) and 2,000 concession (orange) Mini-Trains will be available starting on December 14. Sales will be limited to four per person. Just like any other Compass product, there is a $6 refundable deposit when picking up your Mini-Train.

“The Compass Mini-Train is a new and exciting addition to the Compass product lineup,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “Compass Wristbands and Minis have been very successful and I’m sure customers will appreciate the fun and quirky design of the new Compass Mini-Train.”

Customers can use their Compass Mini-Train to tap in and out when traveling on transit. Load Stored Value and fare products online, at a Compass Vending Machine, by phone, or in person.

Blue adult Mini-Trains and orange concession Mini-Trains will be available.
