Experience a musical transit ride with the “sidewalk cellist”
Experience a musical transit ride this March from Clara Shandler the Sidewalk Cellist as she performs solo with her cello as part of Art Moves, TransLink’s music and performance residence series.
Having been born into a musical family in Vancouver, Clara recognized at an early age the power of music to bring people together and soothe troubled minds. She’s performed in rock bands, dance and theatre productions, operas, chamber ensembles, and multicultural orchestras with her cello.
Since earning a degree in music at the University of British Columbia, she’s spent over a decade teaching and performing across Canada and worldwide.
Her music ranges from eclectic, groovy, poetic, epic, and dark. Close your eyes and listen in; you might imagine yourself starring in a movie scene.
