More temporary bus bay changes for customers at Phibbs Exchange, starting June 19
We have some exciting upgrades coming soon to Phibbs Exchange, providing customers with a better, safer, and more connected hub! In the meantime, there will be some temporary bus bay changes to accommodate for the ongoing construction.
Starting June 19, the north end of the exchange will be closed and some bus bays relocated. This means that some bus routes will have new temporary pickup spots along the corner of Oxford St. and Orwell St.:
- Bay 5 (serving 211 Seymour and 214 Blueridge): relocated to eastbound Oxford St, near side Orwell St
- Bay 6 (serving 215 Indian River and 227 Lynn Valley): relocated to eastbound Oxford St, near side Orwell St
- Bay 7 (serving 212 Deep Cove): relocated to southbound Orwell St, far side Oxford St
What’s being upgraded at Phibbs Exchange?
Together with B.C.’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, we’re excited to build the Phibbs Exchange upgrade to better meet the needs of the North Shore community and our growing region.
Starting construction in November 2022 and planned to open in 2024, Phibbs Exchange is being upgraded to improve speed, comfort, reliability, connections for pedestrians and cyclists and safety for our customers. New passenger amenities will include digital passenger information displays, new shelters, better signage throughout the exchange and bike lockers.
