LISTEN: Hear Canucks announcer Al Murdoch at SkyTrain stations on home game days
If you’re a Vancouver Canucks fan riding transit to Rogers Arena to watch the team play this Stanley Cup Playoffs, you’ll hear a familiar voice in an unexpected place: Al Murdoch on SkyTrain.
We’re excited to partner with the Canucks to welcome Al’s booming voice to SkyTrain stations as a guest voice for the duration of the Canucks playoff run.
He is the public address announcer for the Canucks at Rogers Arena. Al’s the voice fans hear in the arena, including when the scoring play is announced after a goal is scored.
You’ll hear his voice at most SkyTrain stations along the Expo, Millennium, and Canada Lines on home game days. The announcements include messages amping up riders for the Stanley Cup playoffs and thanking riders for choosing transit.
In one of them, Al says, “Hello SkyTrain nation, can you feel the excitement? Can you feel the energy? That’s the feeling of playoff hockey for your Vancouver Canucks. Thank you for choosing transit and go Canucks go!”
These announcements are playing between and 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the mornings and between 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the afternoon on home game days. They will play every 15 minutes.
Keep your ears peeled when riding the SkyTrain and stay tuned to our social media channels for more.

I also enjoyed hearing Al doing the Grizzlies when they played here. Sad.
Will Coast Mountain Bus Company have a bus signage saying “Go Canucks go” instead of displaying “Go team go” Tx.
I wish could help Al do some announcements
