Happy Tuesday, folks! Looks like we may be getting a breather from the scorching heat, finally! Tuesday also means it’s #MyTransLink time, so all you Instagrammers out there, we love what you share with us – keep clicking and sharing!

To the newbies, #MyTransLink is our series on The Buzzer blog where we publish photos taken and published on social media by you – our customers! Each week, we give you a theme and you share your stunning photos by using the hashtag #MyTransLink on Instagram.

#MyTransLink isn’t just about transit in the Metro Vancouver area. It’s a chance to stand back and admire what our cities offer us. Last week, we asked you to share photos of the sun, as well as transit, and we love all those magnificent photos you share.

If the sun and the heat aren’t your thing, then maybe ice cream is? Here’s a list of some transit-friendly ice cream spots in Metro Vancouver. You can take advantage of our increased bus service to get there.

Our Tap to Pay payment option makes it easier than ever before to pay and be on your way. Remember, Compass cards offer discounted fares if you are a regular transit rider.

#MyTransLink – July 24

Hello fellow Metro Vancouverites! Hope it’s goin’ swell for you folks out there. It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time for #MyTransLink.

For our new friends here, #MyTransLink is our series on The Buzzer blog where we publish photos taken and published on social media by you – our customers! You’ve shown us a lot of love by sharing your B.E.A.utiful photos with the hashtag #MyTransLink on Instagram this past week.

As you know, #MyTransLink isn’t just about transit in the Metro Vancouver area. It’s about the amazing sights our cities have to offer and, accordingly, our theme this past week is of places in Metro Vancouver that transit takes you to. Read on to check out all the photos selected from last week and the theme for the week to come!

Summer is the time to go out and explore new areas, visit family and go out with friends. And what better way to do this than now when we have increased bus service.

If the heat is unbearable and you are looking for some FREE options to beat it, worry not. We compiled a list of some cool kid-friendly spray parks in Metro Vancouver that are easily accessible by transit.

Perhaps you’ll find a nice shot of the sun reflecting off of a SkyTrain. Maybe you’ll snap a pic of a sun flooded bus exchange or depot. Who knows!

#MyTransLink – this week’s featured images!

After playing hide and seek for a bit, looks like summer is finally here to stay! At least, we hope so. Summer is also the perfect time to take transit and catch up on your summer reading list, or watch your favorite show. With increased bus service to many popular summer attractions, there’s no better time to hop onboard.

Tap to Pay is here to make it easier than ever for you to pay your transit fare and be on your way.

This is also a great time to watch outdoor movies for free in places that are easily accessible by transit.

Another amazing attraction on your must-see list should be this jaw-dropping LEGO rendition of downtown New Westminster, which includes the SkyTrain!

This past weekend, TransLink was out in the community at the Khatsahlano Street Party on Saturday, July 7 and Commercial Drive’s Car Free Day on Sunday, July 8. We brought with us our community engagement bus and an old Brill bus painted in BC Hydro colours!

Communities across Metro Vancouver hosted events on July 1 to celebrate Canada’s 151st birthday! Transit helped get you there with additional service on bus, SkyTrain and SeaBus.

Summer is a time for exploring and there are so many places in Metro Vancouver that you can explore using transit, including street festivals, farmers markets and more! That’s why this week’s post is dedicated to pictures that showcase the character of Metro Vancouver.

We think nothing shows off our region’s character more than the vintage buses! We’ll be at community events throughout the summer with our community engagement and museum buses. Just a few weeks ago we were at the car-free days in the West End and Main Street, and we’ll be at Surrey’s Canada Day celebration on July 1.

This dovetails well with our theme for next week! We want to see pictures that are inspired by community! Let’s see your interpretation of what this theme means. Tag it #MyTransLink and we’ll feature some of the best in next week’s post.

The summer solstice on June 21 marks the longest day of the year, a whopping 16 hours, 14 minutes and 57 seconds of daylight! #MyTransLink – June 5

It’s Tuesday—that means another edition of #MyTransLink! This is our series where we curate the best photos from social media taken by you, our customers, neighbours and fans.

The Mayors’ Council’s 10-Year Vision is delivering more and better transit service throughout Metro Vancouver. As part of this, we’re bringing in new buses to provide increased service as well as replacement buses for aging fleet.

Recently, the first three of 106 new compressed-natural-gas buses for Surrey—coaches 18101, 18102 and 18103—went into service. We’re dedicating this #MyTransLink post to our CNG buses, which operate out of our Surrey, Hamilton and Port Coquitlam transit centres.
