If the Canada Line to, from, or between Bridgeport, Aberdeen, Lansdowne, and Richmond–Brighouse station is your ride after 10:30 p.m., this update is for you.

Between September 6 and 8, SkyTrain service at the above mentioned stations will end at 10:30 p.m. and extra bus service (aka a bus bridge) will operate in its place until the end of service at 1:35 a.m.

What you need to know about Capstan Station construction

  • After 10:30 p.m. customers will need to transfer to a bus. These buses will operate up to every 10 minutes.
  • The extra buses will stop at each station (i.e., Lansdowne, Aberdeen and Richmond–Brighouse).
  • The extra buses will depart from Bay 10 at Bridgeport Station and Bay 1 at Richmond–Brighouse Station. Signage will be on site to assist customers.
  • Regular service will resume each morning.

This temporary change is necessary so we can complete the next phase of construction at Capstan Station, which is taking place extremely close to the guideway. Crews will be using cranes to continue installing large pieces of steel to connect the top of the station’s H-frames and begin installing the station’s steel elevator shaft.

The new Capstan Station is on pace to open in 2023 to provide better service for customers in the Capstan Village area of Richmond.
