The Pattullo Bridge is celebrating its 80 birthday this year, and as part of regular maintenance and repair work to keep the bridge operational until it’s replaced, the bridge will be closed from Friday, July 14 at 9 p.m. to Monday, July 17 at 5 a.m. This closure will allow crews to repair the south side of the bridge.
Each year the Recycling Council of BC (RCBC) hosts a celebration recognizing the valuable contributions made by individuals and organizations towards the preservation and protection of British Columbia’s environment. This year, Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) was awarded the 2017 Public Sector Environmental Award for continued efforts in reducing environmental impacts.
Saturday July 1 marks Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation!
SkyTrain, SeaBus, and bus will all be running on a Sunday/Holiday schedule with additional service to help you get to and from your Canada Day celebrations.
Beginning at 4 p.m., access to Waterfront Station will be modified to ensure customer comfort and safety during crowded periods. The Howe Street entrance will become exit only. SkyTrain staff and Transit Police will be on hand to redirect customers to the Cordova Street entrance.
There’s a reason it’s called Beautiful British Columbia, and this weeks #MyTransLink showcases so much of the beauty of the region. This time we’ve got sunny summer days and sprawling blue skies – a recurring theme among your recent transit shots, and the compilation below is no exception. Check it out and see what’s been seen on and around our system!
Getting around Metro Vancouver will be much easier thanks to a new partnership between TransLink and Modo Co-operative.
Transit in Vancouver is no stranger to carshares, looking at the blocks surrounding SkyTrain stations in the region you’ll see an abundance of parking spaces reserved for carsharing. This partnership with Modo Co-operative is the first time that stalls have been created directly on TransLink property. You can now grab a Modo just steps from the fare gates!

We sincerely apologize to each HandyDART customer who experienced significant service delays or missed their afternoon trips on Thursday, June 22.
As an update for our customers, the scheduling disruption they may have experienced was caused by a software system being down and the problem was resolved later that afternoon.
While the system is now back up and running, we are working with our HandyDART operator to ensure the situation is completely resolved.
Thank you for your patience as the HandyDART operator and our staff worked through these issues and tried their best to get our customers to their appointments.

Today (June 19), we’re launching our next round of consultation, in partnership with the City of Vancouver. Back in January 2017, we launched the first phase of consultation and we heard from more than 470 people at in-person events and 4,200 people through our online survey and feedback forms. Now it’s your turn!
For the first time ever, West Coast Express will be running its newest holiday train on Saturday, July 1 – the Canada Day Express. This July 1 isn’t just any ole Canada Day, this year marks 150 years since Confederation. Given the significance of this sesquicentennial celebration we’re giving our riders an additional opportunity to check out some of the amazing celebratory events being held in and around Vancouver.
The Vancouver bound West Coast Express train will be leaving Mission at 11 a.m., arriving at Waterfront Station in Vancouver by 12:15 p.m. This will give riders plenty of time to experience all there is to offer at the various venues in Vancouver and beyond – before the train departs Waterfront at 7:00 p.m.
Don’t forget! The Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line connects with West Coast Express Stations at Moody Centre Station and Coquitlam Central Station, so if return train schedules don’t fit with your party plans, you can connect through SkyTrain at one of these stations.
Regular fares apply for this special holiday train. Use your Compass Card or purchase a ticket at a Compass Vending Machine located at the West Coast Express stations.
We look forward to celebrating with you!

We know y’all are hitting the beach this summer, and we’re making sure you can get there!
Summer service changes are happening on June 26, meaning more trips to the beach and fun summer destinations and a lot of other great improvements. Many of these improvements are courtesy of the 10-Year Vision – bringing approximately $2 billion in investments in transit and transportation in Metro Vancouver.
